Dubai gold market - almost every thing about it - Day 2 - Dubai vacation trip

May you have arrived at this page because you are curious to buy or know about the gold market of Dubai and it's cheaper gold products.

The term "souk" mean market hence in Dubai it's called gold souk.

There are many gold souk in Dubai however the one where you can get the gold product in cheap is our topic of discussion.

Hence I am writing about the old gold souk of Dubai its the most cheapest gold market i could purview.

How to get there :- 

I will not tell you the exact way because it would cause you inconvenience instead of make a search for "Sabka bus stop" near Dubai creek on Google maps and draw your way accordingly. Gold souk is just near to this bus stop maybe 600 m walking however you could get the taxi from there (beware of traffic).

You will recognised the place by its gate, it's a wooden gate and gold souk is written on it.

Price of gold: - 

The price of gold is a combination of the following: - 

Price of gold product = ( gram of gold x gold rate today)  + ( grams of gold x making charges) +/- bragining power

Gold rates are different for different type of quality which are 22,  21,  24,  18 carat. You can check the gold rate at the kheemji.Com its ok if you check it in the morning otherwise its written on every shop and even on street of gold souk. Gold rate is steady till evening,  it can get changed in evening but practically it does not.

Making charges on gold is something is the matter of discussion,  making charges are based on the design and seller's mind. Here you have the capacity to bargin in making charges of gold product. 

Which store to shop from: -  (unbasied and its not a paid review)

I have noticed that there are seller who are arabics and indians. Both are the very much a player of market and both are authuntic. However shop of arabics have 21 K gold product not 22K while indian shops have 22K, however the rate is accordinly vary. 

There are many shop who only offers 18K gold products,  in the indian context its just not enough gold: ).

I almost went to every store that say gold seller and finally found that there is a seller group named "kanz jewellary LLC " who is holding 4-7 shops in the same market for different segmant of the jewellary. I found the largest collection at its stores and varity in every type of design were relativity wide. Try asking at every shop for "turkish design rings" and you will find the difference yourself. 

There is a shop named "Popley jewellary" i went there and its not exactly the same as it looks from outside, staff are getting more than required friendly and forgot the relationship  between the customer and seller,  staff personnel keep asking other mate for showing jeweller. It took around 5 minutes to get me the sales person even tho so many sales person were chattering around.

If you are from western side of the world than you might not be very found of gold jewerllary,  this difference could be easily seen at the gold souk,  people from US and UK or nearby places can be seen at the diamond jewellary store while the indian,  arabics,  pakistanis,  far east citizens are at gold store.

Bring gold to India or else or how much gold can i bring to india from dubai ( sincerly customs duty stuff ) (being practical): - 

I hope i am not breaking any law by righting this.

Dubai government is cool if you want the gold for selling in your home country or for your own purpose,  but i am pretty sure that your home governement might not be that easy on you,  so just before buying the gold do conslt any expert.

However for india,  i have found an advise from people in dubai as per them you can bring the gold for use of your own puropse only and that too if you are wearing it not keeping it. So please buy only those gold jewellery which you want to wear while passing the customs.

There is an approx.  difference of Rs. 2000 in india and Dubai gold rate. If you are just looking for saving in gold rates then you can ask the seller to show you jewellary with least making charges and those jewellary would be a "kada" or chain,  these two product are also in 24 K gold.

Jet Airways 9W 0536 - Day 1 Dubai vacation trip

Currently posting from the flight, well it doesn't mean there is a wifi In the flight I am on offline mode.

Jet airways is one of the best flight within india but for international I doesn't totally agrees to it. 

The legrooms are very less and the walking space between the seats is very less and makes the inside place unmanageable, the back rest of every sit is making the passenger sitting behind angry as the seats legroom is seriously very less. I saw some fights or shouting sounds within first 15 minutes of the take off. 

As I booked the flight for 18 K approx I am creating an opinion that I should have selected the emirites instead as its was of 20- 21 K but totally worth it, I have been to dubai as a transit journey via emirites earlier and believe me it's gives much satisfaction of the difference 2000 you will spend.

As the emirites and jet airways both have a pretty cool tie up with Dubai immigration these both airline doesn't require the "ok to board" before boarding for duabi. Hence emirites is better.

However for some people living in the the city other than Mumbai they find the jet airways useful and accomdating as they 

After watching the passengers flight the only solution I have is to ask the passenger at the back than only draw a back rest. 

I found the air hostesses very helpful instead of forcing the pattern of journey they preference, they actually helped in every sense even with selection of drinks and communication was very easy with them, FYI they all were beautiful and young unlike in air india.

Entertainment facilities:-

In jet airways the entertainment Jude box is called " jet screen" same as other airline system it's shows you the live path and other info of flight. 

The movie both Bollywood and Hollywood selection was very limited, but ok for 3:30 hours journey, there are some Hollywood comedy TV series too like Big Bang theory, how I met your mother however it doesn't have the latest episodes but I m saying ok ok. 

The major issue witht the entertainment system is its old touch screen quality you literally sometime have to touch so hard, seriously it's too old techno. 

Foods & stuffs :-

Well as its a indian airline company I am expecting some authutic indian meal.

And they are actually above expection, awesome food, curd and stuff , food was hot and fresh paneer was very soft. I could highly recommend the airline for food. (Veg) 

There are more than average selection for drinking menu eg. Smirnoff vodka, whiskey, beer, tomatoes, apple & orange juice and some cold drinks options.

Jucies are all "real juices".

However they don't entertain cocktails request. 

Day of Last Minute Planning Day -ve 1 - Dubai Vacation Trip

Tomorrow early morning flight  of jet airways for Dubai (DXB) connecting via Mumbai. As always before a trip begin i gets excited, but with very limited thoughts of whats going to happen next as it is the surprise events and occurrence which i love the most in the journey "The Uncertainty".

Bags are packed except mine ;).
Got many whatsapp, Text, calls from friends with tips, advice, "please bring me xxxxxx" etc. however i got a very little advice on Gold Jewellery to be brought from Dubai and every person who had advise me regarding gold is not a complete expert as sounded, hence i was still seeking into further details.

Running through the Airports Rules and regulations for Carry on Board Goods, the worst and conflicting limit of only 100 ml liquid or Semi liquid, as due to this i can't carry Bigger toothpaste and most importantly can't carry the Perfume whoever it is doesn't content more than 100 ml but i am unsure about mindset of Security Personnel at the airport.
